Meet Joe

Support, support, and more support! You’ll notice with our Aysling Team Spotlight posts that a majority of our team is focused into two departments, software development and support! We know that having the proper support resources can make or break a software implementation; and fortunately we’ve launched thousands of users into our products successfully! With tools such as Live Chat, Help Center, Pendo Guides, daily webinars, and a massive video library filled with hundreds of videos created by our team, there’s plenty of resources to help you get started.

Please welcome one of our highly knowledgable Support Analysts, Joe Carr!

What’s your name?

Joseph Carr, but I prefer “Joe”.

What is your job title at Aysling?

Support Analyst

So what does that mean you actually do?

A lot of stuff. I answer all kinds of questions via Live Chat and Support Tickets. I also do a lot of work in Pendo to create in-app guidance and announcements. If you’ve seen any of the in-app guidance powered by Pendo, it’s very likely that I had a hand in creating it!

How long have you worked at Aysling?

I’ve been a full-time employee for a little over a year now.

What is your favorite thing about working at Aysling?

I like being in close proximity to all departments. I sit within 30 feet of folks from Sales, Support, Development, Design, Marketing, and Accounting. So when something comes up (which happens a lot in support) it’s a lot easier to get a question answered quickly.

What is/was your favorite magazine publication?

If you had to publish your own magazine, what would it be about?

It would probably have something to do with Music. Whether it’s artists, instruments, or gear.

What is the one piece of software you cannot live without?

Apple Music. Like most, I’m powered by music.

What is your favorite season?

Fall

If you could live in any movie/television show, which one would it be? And why?

Probably Ready Player One. Not that I loved the movie but the idea of full-dive VR sounds amazing and I’d love to experience it.

Board, Card, or Video Games?

Video Games

Favorite type of sandwich?

French Dip.

Interesting fact about yourself?

I’m a musician. I’ve played Bassoon, Bari Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Tuba, Trombone, and Percussion in Concert Bands. I also played Tenor Sax and Bass Guitar in Jazz Bands, and was second Bassoon in the Dearborn Youth Symphony Orchestra when I was in high school. I was also in a metal band in high school.

And finally, what is your favorite quote/lyric (movie, television show, song, or inspirational)?

A day without laughter is a day wasted.

– Charlie Chaplin
